A lot of things are still packed in boxes and tubs. Teaching and trying to make progress on academic projects while moving has been a *most enriching* endeavor. I really did spend such a great deal of my time on my Summer Start class. I know that it's important to find a balance between teaching and your own scholarship, and there's no excuse for putting one ahead of the other. So even though I want to cite a hundred reasons like: the kids are so talented and eager to learn; the curriculum is demanding and requires constant shift as you have to continually evaluate the success of a condensed set of teaching methods; and all the rest, I know that my own work must find a place among my lesson plans and student essays.
Just have to work on unpacking, preparing. Sorry about the unscrupulously cheezy closing lines on my last entry. These cold summer nights sometimes have a tendency to get to me.
I guess it was pretty cheezy. i don't know about unscrupulously cheezy, but hey.
