I've been looking at imaging software recently. I've also been reading a lot of writing online. Thinking about seemingly ubiquitous digitality and realizing how unubiquitous it is to the majority of the world.
Full steam ahead and there ain't no stoppin this train. After reading a good number of imaging software reviews and specs, I finally chose the free trial of ShadowProtect by Storage Craft and found it pretty intuitive when backing up my system. We'll see how it performs when it comes time to do my reinstall at the end of this semester. Been enjoying eggnog and Christmas lights these last few days, and I am even deriving a strange enjoyment from my seminar papers this semester.
This post is a little disjointed, but you gotta take what you can get at this stage of the game. I've been reading more blogs lately and am really impressed with (and humbled by) the smart, consistent work so many people publish on a daily basis. Heartfelt, sincere, real... and they just keep it coming, day after day. Sometimes I think I get too paralyzed when considering who might read this thing - don't want to give away any grad student secrets or spill too much unseemly information about my personal life for fear that when I go on THE MARKET, someone might look back at this and think I'm a schlep. Is that a price worth paying to have a place where I can flex my writing muscles and practice writing? I might be inclined to think so.
Then again, my brain is all entangled in images of writing grandeur, as it is under the influence of the torrent of information that is bursting at its bars. So we shall see, I suppose. My goal is to write 2 more posts by the end of the year. Always best to start off reasonable, I reckon.
And now back to full steam ahead.
